walkers point photoWalk - photography & photo editing
the cream city milwaukee group on flickr.com has a photowalk every month. in may 2008 the walk was through the walker’s point neighborhood here in milwaukee. here are some of my pictures from that photo walk. some pictures are more heavily manipulated with photoshop (including some HDR photography). to see more of my photos from that walk, take a look over here.
senior pictures
my goal as a photographer is to capture the subject and their personality in real ways. i will never be that photographer that makes you tilt your head 45 degrees to the left, while having your left hand on your chin and your other hand on your hip… no.. tilt your head more… turn this way.. look over here… no.. put your hand on your shoulder…. tilt your head more….

miltown kings - website design
the miltown kings are a drag king troupe here in milwaukee. their website was very out of date and not very user friendly to update. since most of the “kings” had full time jobs and were not web programmers, they needed a website that could fit around them. also, through getting to know them personally, i learned how much deeper the troupe’s passion was. the drag kings had plenty of fun, but were serious about social justice and raising awareness for a wide variety of causes and organizations. this website includes space for all of those aspects, as well as an easy to use “back end” so that anyone can update the website. i also had the opportunity to be the official photographer for one of their shows. random photography - music
since i have a lot of clients who are in the music industry, i have a lot of music-related photos sitting on my computer. these are two of my favorites and i have used them as textures, backgrounds and overlay effects for several projects.
expressions - postcard design
in 2006 i was asked to design the marketing materials for a one day conference called “expressions: sexuality & faith” which was held at the university of wisconsin- milwaukee. this postcard design was also created into handouts and posters (including a nine foot by nine foot banner that was displayed in the uwm union.) i also designed a website for the conference, did the photography for the design as well as the photography for the event.
random photography
what is “random photography” you ask? well, it’s basically pictures that i randomly found on my computer when i was looking through my work to post on here… and i thought “hey.. i really like these.” these photos were taken with my old nikon 35mm SLR camera, in various places, in various times. (aka: very random) looking at film photography makes me realize there is some sort of… character… that cannot be reproduced using digital photography. this is why i will never get rid of my old 35mm cameras.
fuller still - photo shoot
fuller still, a Minnesota based band, needed a design for a new studio-release cd. so we set up a photo shoot to gather images to be used for press and the cd design. they were nice enough to drive down to milwaukee (a 5.5 hour drive), stand out in the cold bitter wind, sit on an old green couch with three legs, and even eat some mustard at a local chinese resturant that tasted like band-aids.
